FAQ
Why is it more expensive than the average bike in Laos? These are upgraded bikes for good comfort (easy to pedal, no noise, thick saddle). We maintain the bikes ourselves each day here at the guesthouse. All spare parts must be ordered from abroad to get decent quality.
Why Vat Phou only? The condition of some trails are fine by foot but too demanding for bikes that we try to keep at a decent price. This is why we focus only on Vat Phou through the road.
Other bicycles in Champasak village : from what we see most bikes are heavily damaged or in poor condition to enjoy the 20km to Vat Phou. As an alternative we would suggest a tuk-tuk.

Mountain hikes
A medium/hard hike, a good time but you need to be fit and experienced with steep forest paths.
The mountain is near Souchitra, departure at 7am in tuk-tuk to the bottom of the mountain and return around 3pm. A local will guide you up there for the cost of 40$ per group including transport.
We don't take any commission, this is to help that family, but be aware of the difficulty of the hike.
