Few places we enjoy going to get a pour over
- Caffeine
Local Lao coffee and international coffee beans with a fruity profile. Light roast and low biterness. Very clean and fresh place with a/c. Excellent cappuccino also.
- 124 Thaluang
Local coffee beans with usually a balanced profile, medium roast. Japanese minimalist atmosphere and some desserts available.
- Rin Cafe 2
Small place busy with locals taking away their iced drinks, Rin also do hot pour over with local and international beans. They roast on-site.
Motorbike rental in central Pakse
- Miss Noy Motorbike (Yves from Belgium) : Honda Click scooters or Honda Wave 125. Around 8$/day. He can provide a lot of informations to help you do the Boloven loop.
- Bolaven trail (Xavier from France) : He provides good motocross and also has a guesthouse with prices similar to us in the center of Pakse.
Where to go from Pakse ?
- Boloven loop : we suggest to stop by Jhai Coffee in Paksong, many different coffee varieties to discover (Catimor, Typica, Java, Catura) and nice grounded atmosphere.
- Sabaidee Valley is a comfortable and peaceful place to sleep when starting the loop (30$/night) and restaurant on-site.
- Tad Fane waterfall : famous waterfall on the loop with a zipline and a busy tea/coffee shop near the entrance (Lak40)
- The 4000 islands is also a famous destination further South near Cambodia but we've never been there.

At the top of Pakse
Wat Phousalao is where you can visit the big Buddha at the top of Pakse. Nice view and energy
